Need replacement part - S Blade/Chopper Blade
You can call Hamilton Beach Customer Service at 1-800-851-8900 from 8am to 6pm ET to order the S Blade. I called to get a price for my S Blade that broke on my 702R model food processor. They quoted me $15.99 plus tax. Now I am looking on the Internet for a cheaper price. Hope this helps.

The base part has a sensor to make sure the bowl being locked tight. The bowl maybe a little hard to lock. Please check and make sure the bowl is locked tight to the base. If it is not tight, it will not power up, or it will run for a minute and stop when it comes lose again. Good luck.

Yes, it is the S-blade. I can't find my manual either and I have been trying to figure out how to get it onto the shaft!! The Hamilton Beach website says it should slip down the shaft once the bowl is attached, but I have a white piece on top of the metal I can not remove and the s-blade will not slip over it.

Hamilton beach food processor won't turn on
DYI fix job on mine. DIsassembles base and switch assembly. Added a rectangular piece of plastic just above litlle balck trigger switch. Taped switch casing's side (not my plastic piece) so that my plastic piece would not fallout. Re-assembled. Voil?. Problem was that travel length of whole trigger mechanism was a bit too short to trigger the switch. With the added plastic piece, travel was extended a little to make the whole thing work, but not so much so that it would always unsafely stay ON when plugged. Tried various other gluing options on other pieces before that, but nothing would hold.
