change the spark plugs first always and if that doesnt help you will need to do a compression test while you have the plugs out if they test 90 psis or more then you need to put carb kits in it just because it runs at dry dock doesnt mean it doesnt have low compression but dont get discuraged it may just need carb kits

your exhaust temp sensor is bad or broke it is located in the main exhaust under the seat on the right side of the exhuaust one wire going to it u cant miss it

you can take the whole pump *** out from the back of the ski you will see the main bolts at 2,5,8 and 11 oclock there are two sets of them one on the nozzle and a set on the pump take all of the steering cable bolts out first and the reverse cable as well once you get the nozzle off the pump assembly will come out complete that way u can find out if it is a impellar bearing seized that will lock your whole motor if you need a break down go to riva yamaha and go to origanal parts finde4r and pick your ski it will help

you can go on riva yamaha and find the price they will have a origanl parts finder with a break down of the whole electronic break down but it is in the big black box on the rear fire wall right behind the motor

only 2 things could be wrong seized motor or bad impellar bearing it is located in the impellar housing you really need to pull the whole impellar housing out of the back of the ski to find out witch one it is

you have to have a dealer hook it up to soft ware and program it

find the solenoid for the trim it will be a the engine or on the trim motor it self get a test lite and find the power wire on the trim motor and with someone pushing the trim button test the hot on the motor if there is no power it is the solenoid if there is power u my have a brush stuck in the trim motor itself but 99% of the time it is the solenoid u can tap the trim motor and see if that gets a result but dont hit hard

what is it idle at? how much? remove your seat check air filter if is black oily remove it and see if that fixes your problem you may want to change your spark plugs as well # one cylinder may be starting to foul the new yamahas are the worst for fouling plugs use a cr8eb instead of the cr9eb the 8s are hotter and work better try those and let me know thank you

new yamahas are bad for fouling plugs instead of cr9eb use cr8eb they are hotter and seem to work better make sure you change the battery in the remote if that doesnt work its the plugs

your starter brushes are stuck you can try tapping the stater to unstick them but u will pobally need to replace the starter u can get it on ebay

what is it ? if it a ski then you will need carb kits yu can get them from riva yamaha there on the web

there may be one next to the battery in a little blacksquare pulg on the motor as well there will be two or three look near the starter for little black cylinder (rubber) or little square plugs (plastic )

you can ground it to any clean bolt on the motor make sure its clean and the right size bolt and youll be good

trey to adjust the throtle cable on the handle bars turn it towards the grip that may do the trick if not then youll need to make the adjustment on the carbs

yes yes yes the new yamahas foul plugs like crazy i dont know if it is a valve defect or what but you will be changing them every year one trick i have been doing to my coustmers watercraft and has been working well insead of ngk cr9eb plugs use a cr8eb it is a hotter plug there for it will burn better and no it will not hurt your ski trust me i have over 15 yrs ex and 6 in r&d research and design

first put a new battery in it. then put your lanyard in the handle bar clip push the start button make sure that you have a life jacket on when your in the water and make sure that u attach the lanyard to your wrist or life jacket

you pulled the diaphrams in the carbs and sterched them from running it out of gas or sucked water in to it either way change the carb kits
