Clean it with a paper clip or pin

if the hopper is not sitting properly it will not turn on. there is a small micro switch on the top part of the machine which is activated by one of the upper lids

Hello, make sure the magnet in the water tank moves freely, sometimes it gets stuck with deposits, its a small black rectangle near the base. if its not free, you need to put some descaling solution it the tank to clear it.

You need to run the Decalcyfying program. Push and hold the button with the symbol that looks like a tube with small dots inside. You will get the message empty tray and empty grounds. Do so, and put everything back. The message Solvent or Agent in tank will be displayed. Meassure up 700ml water in a container, put 3 Descaling tablets in the water and let it be completly desolved before you pour this into the empty watertank. It`s very important that you don`t use more liquid, this will make the program run forever. When the solvent is in the tank, push the buttoun again, and the program starts. After a while (20 minutes or so) you will be asked to empty tray/grounds again and to fill the watertank. At this point you can fill up the watertank, this will not affect the running of the program. In the end, you must empty tray/grounds again, and after this the machine is heating up and ready to use. Good luck!

Have you run a decal recently? This normally happens when a small particle (normally) an undesolved piece of the decal tablet is stuck in the flow meter, or sensor.You can try and run warm water through the system and after about half a tank it should be sorted out.

there is no such a thing as service manual only Capresso own repair pesonnal can see a repair manual,Capresso do not want anyone else to touch the inside of the machine,they want you to contact them and send in the machine

There are two other most important reasons except grinding adjustment that influence the quality of espresso and it can be seen from the thickens and colour of cream.

The first is the water pressure which either the pressure pump can not create the 9 bars pressure or which is more possible scale deposits block the created pressure arriving over the coffee.

In this case you can perform rescale 2-3 times with internals a couple of days in this way you will be able to remove as much as possible scale deposits in the piping system of machine. You have 85% chance to sacked either you need to disassemble the complete piping system and descale it manually. So you can try the above first.

The second reason is the coffee group filter is dirty. You can remove it by unscrew the screw in the centre and by using warm water and metal brash you can clean it.

After these to procedures you can unjust the grinding so the espresso to run in the cup is about 20 to 22 seconds of aprox. 25-30 cc of espresso.

You did very well to switch it off since steam could harm the electronics.
However this is a frequent problem with espresso machines. The steam is coming from the boiler with pressure by tube made from Teflon and it is secure on the steam wand union with the easy secure system. This is using an o ring rubber and a copper ring forced in the union and secured with a clip.
Sometimes the clip get out of this place so the Teflon tube is out too or the o ring it is have a leak and in both cases the steam is all over inside the machine.
The problem is sometime caused because the steam wand becomes goggled by dry milk so the steam with pressure will force the tube to come out from a loose point.
Therefore your machine actually have not any serious problem the only thing is to remove the top panel find the loose tube and put it back is place. If you don’t see the clip on place you search for it around the bottom of your machine.
Use also a thin paper clip inside the steam wand so it will open completely and try to use the machine without the panels in order to visual check that the steam is coming from steam wand and you don’t have any steam leaks in other places.
If you are not capable doing the above yourself then if you ask a professional do it for you just take care to charge you only a labor cost of 30 min and maybe a new clip.

It seems to be the microswitch on powder lid that`s not locking. Check if there`s something missing from the lid, and then maybe try to put something in to close the switch.

call the 'Coffee Boss"  in North carolina.  you will have to find him on Google. his name is heinz and he is the guy that Jura uses when they can't fix it.  He's fixed my x90 3 times.

Go to a coffee store were they sell the machines or ground coffee. (coffee warehouse), and get machine cleaner tablets.
