Just fixed this same problem by taking apart the water solenoid valve and cleaning out its connection tube of deposits that was blocking water/steam flow. I removed the magnetic coil but that's not required. The connector was very tight because it had loctite sealer on the threads. I used plumbers teflon tape on the threads when reassembling.

This very frequent problem with all espresso machines. The pipes are made from teflon and secure at the union connection and valve with an oring and secure clip - spring. So you should remove the steam pipes and check if the clip is secure ok, or the oring is damage and might need to be repalced or even if you a litle longer teflon pipe then by cutting a small peace at the end the it can fit tight in palce again.

In every coffee maker I have ever seen the water moves through the system as it is boiled in the pre-heat chamber. If it is not heating no water will move. Many of those appliances have an internal fuse that is not user replaceable. Those particular fuses (if there is one) can be purchase on eBay but please understand it takes some special skills to replace them. It is definitely not for the untrained in proper safety procedures when working on electrical devices. It could be a switch that is defective but I would bet on the internal fuse.

You can re-attach this brown flap youself if machine is not still under warranty (that would void the warranty) or if the tabs or flap is not broken. I have had this machine apart and have taken off the brown flap which have tabs on the top and sides that fits on the front(facing you) of the press (looks like a big white cog inside a brown case( I have photos). The thing is, taking the case off. Screws with special tops that requires specialized tools for removel of case. My husband had to use pliers very carefully to get these out and he said he will put regular same size back in. If you want the manual or photos, let me know yor e-mail.

The gears inside are clogged with coffee grounds. The machine will need to be taken apart carefully, and the gears cleaned of the coffee. I just did mine a C3000, and you will have to be careful to remember how all the parts go back together. This takes a T15 hex key for the screws. Good luck.

This means that the brew unit has problems with positioning. Try to take out the tray, clean out all the grounds from the sieve and surroundings of the brew unit. It`s easier to do this when everythings dried up. After this, run a cleaning program and see if this helps. It may be that the o-rings needs to be changed and greased up. If the machine is older than 2003, the brew unit has to be changed.
