I'm not sure on your answer but a 1 yr limited should come "implied" with proof of purchase. No need to register as long as you keep up with receipt. Most residential split & commercial have an implied warranty. Only need to register for extended warranty.

Sounds that compressor is locked,first check capacitor, if ok then you need a hard start kit for compressor,if still won't come on bad compressor

The thermostat should run at the temperature desired for as long as your setting. If it cuts out early, then in some cases the humidity is causing ICEING (Ice buildup on the coils) and needs to sit for a time until it melts off. A manual override will keep the device in operation, but the cooling is usually the air crossing over the iced coils and entering the house. Factory service will locate the problem.

first is this a external or internal overload. you will need a ohm meter. disconnect the overload from the circuit and test for continuity. if there is continuity your good if not replace it.

could be that the the contctotaor is bad or the start capacitor is bad
