How can i stop the squeallng noise in my dell d 610

There are 3 moving parts with motors on a laptop. 1. The HDD 2. The CPU fan 3. The CD/DVD/Blue ray drive Check them If it's the HDD than you will be having problem with the operating system. Back up your data and change with a new HDD. 50$ to 80$ depending on your choice of HDD. If it's the CPU fan it might be touching a cable or the casing. For this you need to dismantle the laptop and clear this out or change the fan. 10$. If it's the CD/DVD/Blue ray drive than the laser eye is starting to loose it's ability. You will need to change the drive. 30$ to 50$. Good luck mate.

How to adjust contrast on dell 610

From this web site: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000594.htm How do I adjust my brightness or contrast on my laptop? Every laptop is different, so adjusting the brightness or contrast on your laptop may vary from the steps provided on this page. However, understanding the process of how to adjust the brightness or contrast will help you change your settings. Most laptops adjust their brightness and other settings using the function key in conjunction with another key. For example, pressing and holding the function key (abbreviated as "Fn") and pressing the up or down arrow keys as shown in the picture below, increases and decreases the brightness. laptop-brightness-keys.jpg Other examples also shown in the above picture include pressing Fn and F1 and F2 or F7 and F8 to increase and decrease the brightness. If none of the above examples resemble your keyboard look for keys on the keyboard that have pictures of a sun or a half moon to identify the correct key to adjust the brightness. How can I adjust the laptop contrast? Laptops only allow users to adjust the brightness of their screen. Contrast settings are not adjustable on a laptop display. How do I save the new adjusted settings? After adjusting your laptops brightness it will retain the new settings. Laptop brightness is still not enough or screen is black If after following the above steps your brightness is still not enough, plug your laptop into the wall to make sure it is not a power setting that is decreasing the brightness. If the laptop is plugged in but still is not bright enough, try the suggestions on the below link.

THE SERVICE TAG IS DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE ON THE OUTSIDE

The motherboard has been changed. The code is motherboard specific , and , for this laptop, it may mean you need different drivers , since more than 1 chipset was used in production. Go to Dell.com , click on support, and enter the actual service tag number, not the one on the outside to verify drivers.

Internal HDD HARD ERROR!

  1. Turn on (or restart) your computer.
  2. When the DELL logo appears, press <F2> immediately. If you wait too long and the Windows logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Windows desktop. Then shut down your computer and try again.
  3. Look for Boot Order or boot sequence. You will see a list of boot devices. Whatever you want as 1st device needs to be selected in 1st or move them to TOP. It depends on your BIOS version. But this is very close to what you are looking for. Good luck, If you still cant find it then Message me. I will guide you through it.
