Roomba Robotic Floor Bagless Vacuum Questions & Answers
I installed a new battery in my Roomba 540. It
Try to clean the metal contacts in the dock and in the roomba.
If you have a multimeter, measure the DC voltage on the dock contacts. If it's around zero volts, then you have a faulty dock.
Hope it helped.
Roomba 535 - slows down sporadically in middle of room
Check to see if the "spot" indicator (blue light) is on, that happens when it detects a change in color or patterns and then it goes into a routine of a "flower" pattern, but then moves on at normal speed. As to the incomplete circling of a furniture leg....it's really a random path it follows, Roombas are still the "version one" of robotic vacuums.
New Roomba Battery Not Holding Charge - charged once then died
It is possible for the charging system inside the roomba to call it quits. What I did to remedy this, since my roomba was out of warranty and I did not want to scrap it, was to buy a charging base on ebay. This charging base accepts different types of roomba batteries and even the scooba battery. The inconvenience is if you have a newer model roomba that has the battery inside, then you will need to remove the screws on the bottom plate to remove the battery. Hope this helps.
I cant get the brush to fit back into my roomba
I had the same problem, but I cleaned out the hello brush bearing on the end and was able to fit the brushes back in. Apparently, enough little hairs got underneath it to push it out. This video shows you how to clean the brushes and shows you how to clean out the bearings around the 1:10 mark. Hopefully this helps. http://homesupport.irobot.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/740/p/788
My Roomba leaves the docking
The normal action would be to leave the docking station, go towards the center of the room and then start making circles while get larger and larger until the whole room has been done. Then it should go the opposite direction and then the room is finished.
I could not tell by your question, if you were talking about the normal function or if it was just going in circles in the same space - right and then left and shutting down after that.
If it is turning a few circles right and then left, and then the light that the dirt compartment comes in indicating its full - when it is not full - then the sensors are dirty and need to be cleaned. I have this same problem with mine. I have the roomba red. The first few times it did this (turned circles right and then left and then the full light came on) I took it apart and cleaned the filter, then removed any debris that became stuck around the wheels (like hair or string). Then I wiped it down with a wet towel and dried it and that seemed to do the trick. It ran for another six months or so before it began doing the same thing again. After that point the cleaning did not work anymore and I had to buy new filters to get it to work right again.
Try cleaning it out as indicated above and replacing the filter with a brand new one. If that does not work, contact the manufacturer for repair.
My roomba appears to charge
This is totally happening to me too. It apears to charges, works for about 2 minutes then stops and the red light is on as if its not charged. I am thinking to buy a new battery but they seem to be about AUD$50 and if thats not the problems I have wasted my money. The repair centre in Melbourne was so rude on the phone I wont send it to them as they cannot say how much it will cost me
My roomba no longer works on my area rug, it
Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
iRobot Roomba Vacuuming
Robots and the iRobot Dirt Dog Workshop Robot are equipped with four
infrared Cliff Sensors that prevent robots from falling off stairs or
ledges. The Cliff Sensors are located along the inside of the bumper. If
the Sensors become obstructed by dust or debris, the infrared signal is
weakened. Regularly inspect and clean the Sensors. Use compressed air
for best cleaning results.

When it goes onto the
When you run your regular vacuum on the rug, do you pick up a lot of dust or pet hair each time? If you do then that is probably the cause of the repeated "stop and clean" with the Roomba. Being such a small unit, it would not take much to set off the sensor that tells the machine it needs cleaning.
The light on my Roomba flashes amber very quickly
If Roomba senses that its battery has been significantly discharged,
Roomba will enter a special 16-hour refresh charge cycle. When the
16-hour refresh charge is initiated, the CLEAN light will quickly pulse
red/amber. Do not interrupt the cycle once it has begun. The 16-hour
refresh charge cycle is initiated by the robot and cannot be started
manually.
For long-term storage, always remove the battery from Roomba and
store in a cool, dry place. Blue or black batteries should be stored
after Roomba has been used. Yellow batteries should be stored after
being fully charged.
Battery capacity reduces overtime and usually the battery will need to
be replaced each year.
Roomba would run for 2
Probably, the battery has little service life left and should be replaced. You might let the machine run until there is no light showing at all, recharge fully, then try using it again. If you know someone that has a similar unit, try swapping batteries to check. Good luck!
My Roomba start for about
The battery may be fully charged, but it sounds as if the service life of the battery is done. If you could measure the battery voltage from turn on to quit, it would likely go from full voltage to near zero almost instantly. If you know someone else with one of these machines, try swapping batteries for a check. Good luck!
Bought new battery roomba 540
This happens when the Cleaning Head Module needs cleaning. You will need to open its gear box and remove all debris that are found inside.
I have a Roomba 560
Hi,
I think that it would be a problem with the charger...but I would take everything back and have them check out the battery also...it really could be either one and they will have to check them both to be sure...
If it is still under warranty do not take any chances the repairs will cost way to much...
Get it fix now while you do not have to pay for it...

It clicks as it is
It clunks because the gears are damaged. You will need to replace the CHM. If you have the red cleaning head module, chm, replace it with the green chm.
