If you have the users manual or can find it online, first try to diagnose the beeps that the MB makes. Generally there is a troubleshooting section that will give you a list or error beep codes.

If it is just the fan making noise and you feel that you can remove the thing, I have had luck peeling back the sticker on the center of the fan and adding a couple drops of thin oil (mineral oil tends to do the trick) to the bearing in the fan. Spin the fan a few times to get the stuff worked in and then try it out.

If they use the wide ribbon cable, you need the cables with two connectors. Then set on drive to master and one to slave, or set both to CS - for cable select. When you restart the computer, the OS will do the rest.

Hi Klex, I was able to find the website address www.kdsusa.com through one of their products on Newegg, but the site appears to no longer exist. They also had a phone number listed (1-800-283-131) but that too doesn't seem to work. I have the feeling that they have either close their business or ended their operations in the U.S.. Sorry I didn't have better information for you.
