Ice maker only makes crushed

You could have a bad augar motor. It will turn one way for crush and the other way cube. that is the moldel with ice bin on door. If you have ice bin in the freezer not on the door. you could have the ice crusher lever jammed. that is the wire lever on the bottom of ice bin. Or the selnoid the moves the lever up thus opening the door and allowing the ice to pass the crushers. hope this helps.

My kenmore cold spot frezer

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.
Be sure the BACK COVER is in place and hasnt been accidently removed.

Ice maker wont fill

Hi, It sounds like the inlet valve needs changes. Could be the plunger inside the solenoid is not lifting to allow water through. If you remove the line going to the ice maker off the inlet valve, try and cycle the ice maker and put the inlet valve over a bucket to see if water is coming out when it gets voltage.
I hope this helps. Please let me knwo if I can assist you further.

Thanks

If yes, a defrost parts problem.
Check the freezer fan. Is it running?
If no, replace the freezer fan.
Check the condenser fan at the compressor. Is it running?
If no, is compressor hot?
If compressor is hot replace condenser fan motor.
If compressor is not hot.

Water is freezing in the supply line for the ice maker

This usually means you have a weeping water valve. The water valve doesn't completely shut down after filling the icemaker. This deposits a staedy flow of water which freezes and accumulates in the tube, eventually blocking it off. You would need to replace the water valve which is located at the rear of the refrigerstor. One othe thing to check would be the water supply to the refrig. If the water dispenser is working fine then that isn't an issue. However, if that is flowing slowly you would need to replace the saddle valve which is tapping into your house water supply.

The ice maker suddenly stop making ice

Hi Slinn. "..... no krinks or leaks...any ideas?"

How about a solution. Would a solution work? ;-)

Your water valve has gone to appliance parts heaven and now, sadly, needs to be replaced. Don't sweat it, though. Even if you've never done it before it'll be a quick 1/2 hour job.

Tools;
1.) 1/4" nut driver or socket
2.) Pliers or 1/2" open end wrench
3.) A dirty towel (to clean up the little bit of water after the repair)

Parts;
1.) Valve (part# 4318046). (It can be purchased at your local appliance parts retailer)

Now for the fun stuff! Pull the fridge out (it's on rollers, just give it a good tug to get it started rolling) far enough so that you can get behind it to work. Turn the water off at the wall.

NOW UNPLUG IT!
(you wouldn't wanna look like this, would you?)
9121d35.jpg

OK, you're behind the fridge, look down and right. You'll see where the water line connects to the fridge (that's actually the old valve there). Remove the water line from the valve with your Pliers or wrench and set aside.

See that cardboard panel on the back? You'll need to remove a few of the screws from the right side... enough screws removed to fold the cardboard back to expose the valve. Now remove the 2 screws that hold the valve on and pull the valve out from the cavity.

Get your new valve and hold it next to the old one and notice how it should be connected (wiring and tubing). Now all that's left is to do is pull the wiring and tubing from the old one and put it on the new one. Re-mount the valve and replace the screws for the cardboard. Now re-install the water line, use the towel to clean up the water and lastly, plug the fridge back into the outlet.

Really quick and easy. You should have no problems with ice after this.

Replaced Start Relay because it was clicking...now?

If you are sure you have the right start relay, and are positive the start and run connections are correct, the compressor may be bad. There is an internal overload/overheat thermostat inside the compressor. If the motor windings are partially shorted out it will run for a little bit then stop. It will probably start after several hours when cooled down. The other possibility is that you have the start and run terminals reversed. If the start winding can't kick out after a few minutes it will overheat. As a final test, disconnect all wires from compressor. Plug in the box and turn it on. Make a test cord with a plug, wire and some alligator clips. One clip on one side and two clips on the other pole. Single clip goes to the common terminal, One of the other goes to the run. The last one is briefly touched to the run terminal. Just keep it there long enough for the compressor to start then remove it. Let it run for a few hours. It should cool the box down completely. It will run until you stop it as it's not using the thermostat in the box. If it works this way replace the relay again. If it stops by itself the compressor needs to be replaced. This is almost never worth it to fix.

Kenmore Refrigerator 795.75004401. The freezer seems to be working fine but the fridge part is not. Checked the condenser coils and they are free of dust. The condenser fan is working as well.

Turn it off by removing the wall plug for 10 minutes. This will do a power rest to the control electronics. This is a bottom mounted freezer, so cold air for the fridge is vented upwards by a fan. Make sure it is running and there are no ice blockages. Strangely they call the fan in the fridge an Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor. The part is obsolete anyway. If it normally says 4 for the fridge, that would be 4 degrees Centigrade, which means the freezer should show minus 18'C. Or 36'F Fridge / 0' F Freezer/ This shows all the parts. https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/3tradtge4f-000582/kenmore-79575004401-bottom-mount-refrigerator-parts ..

Is there a flapper at the bottom of the defrost line that can get plugged. it's a Kenmore Coldspot. What else can I use other than hot water to clear the drain.

Not normally a flapper. There is a trap on the rear outside cabinet just below the level of the freezer. Remove it and soak in hot water and bleach for 20 minutes, then flush all the debris out, shake it dry and reinstall. ..
