There are several of these for sale on ebay. Look there, and you can email the seller to see if they have, or know where to get parts. You might be able to buy one that has the part you need, but has some other problem so they will sell it inexpensively.

These things are manufactured cheaply enough, so just toss it out with the rubbish and buy you another one.

mcdevito75 here, Your coffee maker may need cleaning, if so, fill the resovoir with WHITE VINEGAR and cycle thru 3 times, have clean or new filter in the machine, on the 3rd cycle stop machine for 30 minutes then resume, cycle thru2=-=3 more times if needed, after the vinegar cycle change filter or clean and cycle thru plain water 2--3 times or more to rinse out the vinegar.

I had the same thing happen when my carafe broke. Mine is 238.69328 which is the black coffee maker. The simple solution is to head to Walmart and buy the GE replacement carafe. It's the 12 cup capacity one #169164. The box has 169180 on the bottom and it works like the old one and looks just as good no matter what color your coffee pot is.
Costs about $10.

Most well stocked hardware stores will have a box containing a huge assortment of rubber O-rings for sale at about 10 cents apiece. They come in varying thickness and diameters. If you're not sure, you might buy several to try and still not spend a dollar. The same part from the manufacturer will set you back ten dollars. I have no clue what your "plastic piece" may be, but if it's broken off you'll need to buy a new basket.

Google DCC-RWF, the manufacturer model number for the filter, and you will get a number if sites that have it in stock

I have the Kenmore 00881666000 Mfg Model 238002WH Programmable 12 cup coffee maker. I could not find the filters and when I tried to order them online thru Sears, there was no match. I ended up finding out that you can get Cuisinart charcoal filters at Sears that are the same size and fit perfectly.

This coffee pot was recalled,I just took mine back to sears essentials last night and they replaced it with the new improved one,they just got them in.Good day,Sandi

go to google then click on shopping it is the best way to get items hope this helps.

If it's only 2 months old, I would suggest taking it back to Sears and getting it replaced under warranty.
