Saeco Vienna superautomatica won't dump grounds puck into dump box

This needs looking at by a Saeco repair shop - the brew unit travels in a distinct 'pathway' from being empty, to filled, to coffee being tamped, then to being emptied. Yours is obviously not working as intended. It may be the brew unit needs lubricating ( NOT OIL) or it may be the gear system that drives the brew units movements that needs attention. Cheers Mike.

I have turned the grind knob all the way down, below 1.

Sounds like there is not enough coffee to make a solid puck. If you get crema, grind coarseness sounds ok. A finer grind will produce less coffee grounds for the puck and increases chance of clogging. You may have to balance grind size with amount of crema to get solid puck. Big problem with these is you want dark roast for espresso, but oil on beans clogs grinder. Are you using a dark roast? A medium roast works better in these. Or, can you increase the grind time? My Super-auto had a program option to increase time. But not in reg instructions. Got it from authorized repair facility.

Motor that moves brewing group started moving very slowly. it can make it on time to make coffee. Anyone know what could the problem be? Mashine worked great just untill today.

Hi, I had the same problem. The motor ran too slow because it did not receive the adequate amount of power. The power is handled by a small part on the circuit board. I replaced it by a part I bought on ebay called Transistor BD245C (or TIP 33C). Now it's working perfect again :-) Details can be found on ebay by typing '262197092158' in the search box. Although the page is in German, it has several pictures that make clear which part is meant. Good luck!

It grinds but why won't it advance grounds and why does the red bean light come on?

(Besides the possibility of being clogged) there is also a microswitch which controls when there is enough coffee. If this switch isn't working properly, the machine will keep grinding coffee indefinitely. The microswitch has code XCC5-81 (you can look for it on e.g. Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Schalter-Mikroschalter-micro-switch-XCC5-81-P5-Saeco-Incanto-Magic-Vienna-Royal-/301012989303?hash=item4615c5b577:g:EvAAAOSw4CFYyrfB). How do I reset the machine

You need to "fool" the machine that the waste container, the brew group and the front panel are in the correct position. You do this by inserting something thin, for example a plastic knife into each slot inside the machine. You will need three plastic knives. Make sure that the machine is on then put one in each of the slots at the same time. The machine will then begin its self test procedure and return to the starting position.

How do I test the PC Board on a Saeco Vienna Cafe Cerma

I can't say for sure as this brand isn't in my stable but it's most likely detected a lack of water in the steam boiler. This could be because the fill vale isn't opening to let water in, or the fill level probe may be scaled and the boiler is actually over filled because it's leaving the fill valve open. check the probe for scale, check the operation of the fill valve if fitted and check continuity through the element.

Why would my bunn coffee maker not heat the water?

There could be several different solutions. 1. Is it plugged-in? (Don't laugh. I once drove 3-hrs to a service call and the dishwasher was unplugged) 2. It could be the heating element has gone bad. 3. There could be a disruption in the electrical circuit somewhere, i.e. power cord, transistor, thermostat, etc... The most likely cause is #2.

The red light blinks under the coffee bean?

The red light on the front of this machine is simply to let you know that there is some issue with the machine: it could be that the grounds receptacle is full, the machine is out of water, or it doesn't have beans. Please check all three areas. It may be that the receptacle, even if empty, may not be pushed all of the way in. Even if the water reservoir is filled, it may not be properly seated on the valve. If the beans appear to fill the bin, it may be that they are not reaching the grinder for some reason and need to be pushed under the tray which shields the grinder. Finally, once you've check these issues, you will want to open the front door of the machine as if to get to the inside where the grinder is housed and then close the cover door. This will then cause the machine to reset. Note, you don't need to do anything other than just open the front cover from the left side as it swings on a hinge on the right and then close the cover again. You can also turn the machine off and on again to cause the machine to reset. This will take care of your issue of the blinking light, assuming you've corrected one of the three things above that originally caused the issue.
