I have an old Saeco Caffe Charisma and hadn't

Hi, First, I'm NOT an expert on this model but have worked a bit on SAECO super automatics. The one thing I've noticed is that they use a lot of sensors on their units. The water level probe which can be a magnetic float on or near the bottom of the water tank. This needs to 'float' in the upper position and may have got stuck in the lower position. Remove tank and empty it. Shake the empty tank up and down to see if this float moves freely. Check for anything that may have stuck inside the float area. Note; this should only have water in this container. No milk, sugar, syrup, honey, etc! You would be surprised what co-workers (or kids) will pour in there. Clean and refill with clean water and try again. -2nd problem may be a water bubble in the pump and/or line. Turn off, unplug, and let cool for 5-10 mins. Plug in again and try to re-start. -If you still can't get it to make coffee then I strongly suggest turning to your Vendor or the Saeco MFR. These units are like TV's now where they change out whole sections instead of individual components. *Do not open up this type of unit as there really isn't anything that can be fixed by the customer or even the casual handyman.*

Saeco Caffe Charisma lights do not stop flashing

I had the this same issue and made a post to this thread, in that post I had this solution to my conditions.

The combination of actions that seem to work was turning the Saeco on while the steam valve was already open and selecting hot water once the Saeco was powered on. The prime light went out, I closed the steam valve

no! the max temp is pre set to about 90oC to 95oC on the p.c. board. any higher temp will cause the the coffee beans/grounds to burn, thus BAD TASTING coffee , according to most experts (barrista)

My brew unit is in

There are three microswitches that govern the fixed red light. Each has a plastic actuator on the piece it monitors. The dreg drawer and catch basin one is low and centered. This is a simple direct-pressure actuator and you can push it with a small screwdriver to ensure it gives a definite click when closed This checks the mechanical side of the switch - the electrical side requires disassembly of the machine and a continuity tester. The brew group switch is centered high and is actuated by the moving flag on the back side of the brew group. (Ensure this flag is up and the microswitch actuator is angled down inside its slot. The flag must engage and push the actuator to the right in order to close the contact.) The door switch is high on the left side and, like the dreg drawer, can be checked mechanically by inserting a screwdriver to elicit the click as it engages. You can check the electrical side of all three switches by using a screwdriver to engage each of the three actuators - if they all close, the red light (29) should go out.

Grinder blocked Saeco Caffe Charisma

If the problem is only just stuck then you should try to rutn the gringing adjustment to more gross grinding and first try to remove all remain coffee beans from grinder, with the use of avacuum cleaner try to clean everything from the grinder beans and grined coffee. Then try to make a coffee if it continue to be stuck turn for more gross coffee grinding clean with vacuum and try again is the grinder is only stuck then this will work if after all these the grinder does not turn then you will need to remove it and also you might need to replace it.

My machine won't allow me

Hi,
First of all, I would suggest unplugging the coffee maker and wait 10 minutes and then plug it back to reset the microprocessor.
Then switch on the coffee maker, It should work fine.
If you are facing the problem then a thermostat inside the coffee maker has failed. It is not turning the element on to brew the coffee.
You need to replace the thermostat.
Hope this helps.

Does not start

The Steady Red light indicates that your Water Tank is not properly fit. This could be because of the Drip Tray full problem. Turn off the machine and please remove the drip tray and put it back after the light changes. Good luck f768464.jpg

Saeco caffe charisma, No power

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems that the power cord has gone bad if it’s not getting power, so you have to replace the power cord. If it’s getting power then I believe the issue is with the power filter inside the machine that needs to be replaced, part no# 184651500. If this is the issue then you’ll need to take the machine to a local repair center and get it repaired.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee
