Dont know the particular shower model but usually if one of the inlet filters is blocked it will automatically shut down for safety. The filters are usually on the inlet connections directly on the mixer unit,do not forget to isolate the water supply first! Wash out and replace

Where it suddenly became not hot enough, it's probably not an adjustment. It sounds like the stem needs to be replaced

The only way I've been successful is to drill out the set screw with a slightly smaller drill bit, you'll find I will pop right out. Try to stay centered so that the threads don't get damaged. Then either before or after you can find a new set screw at your closest home improvement store. Hope that helps

Your whole house is likely plumbed wrong so that it is impossible to have equal pressures of both hot and cold at your shower. If you had your home plumbed with aquapex using a radiator for the hot water and a radiator for the cold water and have the radiators fed with a 1 inch line you can have close to perfect pressures.

the cartridge is in upside down and the gaskets need replacing.

LASCO part number 03-4647L will replace Moen 14627. You can get it from Amazon. I just verified 8/6/13 with the manufacturer that the diameter of the chrome cap is 1 1/4 inches, same as the original Moen stopper and the 4 7/8 inch length is correct also. Looks like it may also replace Moen part 12314.

Change the whole fixtures. Moen is one of the worst brands. Kholer is way better.

There is definitly a nut or nuts holding the faucet to the sink. It could be around the center shaft that goes through the sink, but most likely 2 small nuts that screw onto the 2 outer stubs. These are your hot and cold wated supplies. crawl underneath the cabinets and check. It might be difficult to get them off, but they do make a pipe wrench tool that has a rotating head that makes this easier
