The oven thermal fuse trips when the temperature in the oven gets too hot. After the thermal fuse trips, the oven won't heat. If the thermal fuse trips after the self-cleaning cycle, try resetting the fuse by turning off electricity to the oven, removing the exterior back panel, and pushing the reset button. If the fuse tripped during normal operation, replace it. If the problem persists, the electronic oven control board might require replacement. Reset the thermal fuse after replacing the control board.

My Kitchenaid Oven doesn't allow me to set a temperature higher that 350 degrees. Electric oven. For example, i will punch in 425 and the panel will default back the temperature to 350.

350 will be the design max for your oven unless the handbook says for your model is higher rated and is faulty repair or replace with a higher rated temp oven

Oven won't heat

You may have a blown thermal fuse in series with the heating elements. If the oven exceeded the maximum allowable temperature during self-clean, the fuse will open. See this discussion: Oven Failure After Self Clean and F1 Errors
