Kitchenaid electric range
This one can be a little tricky. I really need to know a lot more information to give you a good answer.
You are right pf does mean power failure. This is detected by your power board the is located under the cooktop.
If you select cancel the pf should disapear and you should be able to use your oven. You didn't mention whether the control board displayed the pf before you actually tried the oven.
If it did, and it gives you that error every time you use the cooktop for a period of time, you could have a problem with the thermister located right behind the console. To remove the console just remove the screws on the under side then lift the console straight up and off.
KitchenAid Stove KERS205TSS 2 light issues.
The issue with the oven display light and the oven light on the KitchenAid Stove KERS205TSS 2 may be related. The problem with the oven display light could be due to a faulty control board or a malfunctioning light switch. The control board may need to be replaced if it is not sending a continuous signal to keep the light on. On the other hand, if the light switch is defective, it may not be able to maintain a connection to keep the light on.
The issue with the oven light staying on could also be due to a faulty light switch. If the switch is stuck in the "on" position, it will not turn off even when the door is closed. This can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely and waste energy. To fix this issue, you may need to replace the light switch.
It is possible that both issues are related and caused by a malfunctioning control board. If this is the case, replacing the control board should fix both problems.
To fix these issues, it is recommended to contact a certified technician or an authorized service center for KitchenAid appliances. They will have the expertise and tools necessary to diagnose and repair the stove safely and effectively.
