The cistern would not fill up. How do I remove the
This guy's video tells you how to service the parts:
For me the problem turned out to be that these gears got misaligned at some point. The blue piece should be "locked" into this position. If the white gears are not aligned correctly they will get stuck and the seal at the bottom (the flapper) will not slide freely down all the way.

How do I replace a toilet seat on duravit happy D toilet
I think our toilet is a Duravit.Close the seat and the lid then have a look at the back of the hinges. If you can see a small hole in the back of the hinge there will be a grub screw in the hole and you can undo it with an allen key (not sure what size - you'll have to try a couple)

I have a Vitra dual
Have you tried to remove the outer ring by unscrewing it before you attempt to remove the buttons? I don,t think you should remove the buttons first.

Hello
I have a 'back to
The flush mechanism has a large rubber washer over the outlet.
This washer seals the flush outlet and allows the cistern to fill up. If there is a continual water leak into the bowl then this washer is worn and needs to be replaced.
This washer is a flat ring type approx. 50 mm in dia,

Cant get the lid off
There are some dual flush cisterns where you have to depress one button to reveal a cavity in the second button. Put a screwdriver in that cavity to left out the second button, then release the first button and pry that out.
Underneath the buttons is a screw which must be unscrewed to release the cistern lid.
Not sure if this will apply to you... but if not, good luck anyway.

Replacement button needed
HI,
Duravit spare parts can be a nightmare to find, and my best solution to you would be to unscrew the push button from the cistern lid.
Take it along to your local plumbers merchant who will more than likely have a suitable non-genuine part that will work just as good.

I need part number 272.324.KG.1 syphon
I would recommend calling Duravit USA at 1-770-931-3575 as a starting point. After some Q&A they should be able to help you get in touch with the nearest supplier to you so that the part can be ordered. Many manugacturers wil not work directly with the retail public. Also many of them require minimum purchases from their vendors. Y might be required to prepay s&h up front to expedite your item. Sometimes even that is not allowed.

Is it illegal to be left with no toilet
I don't know if it is illegal or not but it is down right wrong. I would not tear out a toilet on a friday and leave somebody without one. It would be like tearing the roof off and going home for the weekend. You don't do it. I would go out in the yard, get the old toilet back in there and hook it back up. then back charge him for your time and labor. Then tell him the building inspector came by and took all his info. He said he'd be in touch.

Weak dual flush does not empty the toilet bowl.
well, yes... but apart from providing you with a forum in which to vent your frustration I'm not sure how you think we might help. I have the same problem with a dual flush cistern, but in my case I know that the root of the problem lies in the fact that the soil pipe leading from the bowl has insufficient fall (because the previous owner of my house moved the toilet further from the down pipe). Maybe something like this is contributing to your problem too?

Received no instruction manual with tank and broken plastic nut
The piece you are referring to is the water inlet to the tank. go to your local hardware store and buy a new one. It installs on the bottom of the tank. Use an adjustable wrench. Nothing on the toilet needs to be extremely tight. In fact after you put the was ring on the bottom of the toilet. Drop in the closet flange bolts in the closet flange (brass bolts with a t on one end) do not tighten them extremely tight the toilet will break.
