I had the same problem with a 8250. I had to throw it out as the grinder stopped accepting oily beans. I suggest that you take all the beans out and take a "keyboard cleaner air can" and spray the heck out of the area where the beans get ground up. It'll spray grounds all over so do it outside!

You should not need to "prime" the pump as gravity takes care of it. Check the opening on the water tank to see if in time it has closed up. Check for debris where the tank connects to the unit. If it has a filter, take out the filter and try again.

I had a 8250 model. I had to also open mine up. You need to remove the plastic cover - it is "snapped into place around the edges". then you can see the screws for the mechanics inside, you may see where it is leaking just by popping off the plastic cover. I had a connection come off and added a new spring clip to close up the tube that was leaking.

I have ea8250 krups machine . It gives me error code 05

Are you sure that's the correct model number, it doesn't exist anywhere in the service data I have access to.

If the cold water pumps from the bottom of the unit, you may have a problem with the one-way valve. Normally, this valve opens when the water is hot enough to pump up to the coffee basket, but closes to prevent the hot water from flowing back into the reservoir. If this valve is sticking, that could produce the symptoms you describe. Without actually seeing this unit, I don't know whether the valve itself can be replaced. This may require replacing the whole machine.

It seems like it must be detecting an error of some sort. Maybe the boiler is not heating, maybe the pump is not pumping, only testing will reveal the cause.

Probably providing more info that includes the model number will help someone to help you. Have you any idea how many coffeemaker models Krups have made?

We have had this problem twice now. The solution is to drill (yes drill!) through the capsule - a blocked outlet from the capsule itself and the injection of hot water creates a high pressure seal - you have to release the pressure. Do this over the sink - I had hot chocolate spraying about 6 feet from the machine when the pressure was released!! But this solved the problem.

Hi Rui, why not just order the correct parts? The high pressure silicone tubes are all the same diameter but the service data does not say what it is . The part number for the longest tube is OAO1478 and the hose clips are part number OAO1451
