The first thing that comes to mnd is whether there is any power actually going to the device. Cable connections might be ok but if there is no power than nothing will be on.

If any of the display lights including the Power(PWR) light is on and you have it switched on it is not working. Usually the power light will go red or not on if the router is not working, however there have been routers still working and the lights just not working allthough very rare.

Best way is to get another router(borrow or buy) just to test the connection and if the tester works and the connections is fine you know its just your router thats faulty.

OR if you cant get another router to test, test your router on someone elses connection.

Do you mean WEP key? Because common keys to a router are WEP and WPA keys.

Well if you are talking about it you have 2 options:

1- Reset router configuration and reinstall all sets to your router (Is good to have a backup of it, then you can do it in a blink of eyes)
2- Find some software to help you break into your router to access it and change the WEP key. (Just use it as a way to recover YOUR router)
