turn off gas turn off cold water to heater connect hose to spickot place hose end outside turn on spickot open hot water faucets in house wait. when water stops, turn on cold water for 30-60 sec or so to try to stir up any sentiment in tank turn off cold water and let drain. close spickot turn on cold water let fill till water start coming out hot water faucets then turn off hot water faucets. turn on gas and relight pilot. finish bleeding air from hot water faucets. set water heater thermostat

The three most common reasons for this happening to you are 1) a defective gas valve, 2) a rusty thermopile, and/or 3) the automatic shut-off not working as it should. So, the most common reason for many people having this problem stems from having a gas valve that is not working as it should. When your gas control valve is faulty, it will mean that your burner is not going to be igniting as it should-or at all. Something that worked for me one time was to turn the Temp all the way down then all the way to Max a couple of times..gradually. Why it worked I don't know. Got a couple more years out of it though. Hi, From what I'm seeing this means that there is a bad part within your furnace and it needs to be replaced. It might be the thermostat. You might need to reach out to a local HVAC company to diagnose the issue in person. Thank you.

the gas valve can be replaced, but you will have to pay for installation. this is not a DIY. You can throw money and parts at it. Personally I've replaced my water heater at the first sign of problems. Are they inexpensive no If you furnish model number I can look further.

if system is new call whomever installed it and it repaired under warranty. there are several reasons unit is not producing hot water. First thing I would check is temp setting. Again call for service under warranty.
