Lubicating motor
Hi,
This is a great clipper but the blade can be tricky to reseat. Just pop off the blade using the thumb spring near the bottom of the blade, however do not pop straight off! Instead pull the blade up towards you before removing. This should angle up the metal tongue so it is easy to replace the blade. Next you can lubricate any moving parts but be sure to both remove any excess hair first. Also use only oil made for clippers since other types might evaporate and lead to corrosion.
When you're ready to replace the blade make sure it slides onto the tongue and then to seat it properly turn on the motor and snap into place!
It's not cutting anymore, my husband greased it
If you have another clipper, you can test the blades out on them to see if your blades are sharp. As for the blades not cutting on your clipper it could be a couple things.
Your blade drive could be worn and not allowing the cutter blade to travel far enough each way to make a clean cut. Another thing to check is that your blade latch is not broken. This is the black hook by the blade drive on the clipper. If the blade latch is broke, the blade won't stay tight up on the clipper. Thus the blade will act like it is dull.
I am having trouble getting
the clipper must be running when you try to fit a blade, if its all pf your blades your having trouble with then the problem is with your clippers, its possible the black latch which you need to depress to release a blade is bocken, loock at the end and make sure there is a hook which catches the blade, look at the

make sure the blade clicks into place and cannot be removed without depressing the release latch, secondly check the two screws are tight either side of the hinge assembly, faults in either can cause this fault.
I have an A5 clipper, with three blades. I have
hi, on some ocassions when the clippers get hot the metal gear shaft moves meaning the movement of the clipper is limited, you can remove they gears in the gearbox when its hot and see if there is any side to side movement.
Where do I apply greeze to my clippers
I believe you are referring to oiling the blades unless you are talking about when you take it apart fully and put it back together. For general usage and maintenance:
Oiling of the blades should be carried out at regular intervals during the clipping application. Apply a small quantity of oil on the ends of the blades whilst the trimmer is running. Only use clipper oil or light machine oil of good quality.

Oster A-5 Golden clipper blade is not flush
see if the blade and hinge have moved away from the body of the clipper, the two screws either side of the hinge assembly may need tightening, or the main body may need replacing,
If its just one blade then there must be a problem with that blade.
How to lubricate?
drip fine oil right into the blades. shield with a paper towel or some such and run briefly then wipe off.
