hi : about the stockwell safe ex200----- 2535-EA
if the safe still has charged batteries you can deactivate any sceurity code by access through a small hole on the rear of the safe, if you can get to the rear area of the safe.. You need a long screwdriver to reach to the inside of the front of the door . Their is a reset button on the inside of the door in the lower right corner area( "B" button) on the end - not on the flat face surface of the door but on the vertical face( hing plate). You'll have to feel around and push the screwdriver sideways to push the button in.it will beep . YAHOO- YUH DID IT !!!. Then you can reset your own code.if you need further instructions call me . icq. 33819110 or

My passcode is not opening
Gunsafes are meant to be difficult to open. I'm unsure as to your logic in the novel use of that 9v battery, all it would have done was to short circuit the battery.
Remington's own website gives you only one option if you're a US resident, "Contact Liberty Safes, the licensee, at 800-247-5625 for assistance with obtaining the combination to your safe.
If your safe is a low cost model and you need access quickly then you'll have to cut the safe open, but more expensive models are resistant to this form of attack and the safe will need to be scrapped and replaced afterwards.
