Actually this could become dangerous. When dry latex paint can char or burn.

Although it could be expensive, I would recommend calling a local heating contractor and have him check it out. If it's near the combustion chamber, it will burn; at very least causing smoke and fumes.

Get a professional opinion.

There should be a wiring diagram on the motor name plate. If it isn't there, there isn't much anyone can do, there are literally hundreds of different wiring methods for single phase motors.

With hardware issues, it is best to post the brand and model along with the question. That said, you may try a Google search for a YouTube video if you include the aforementioned description of the gun. Here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg1zx61vlfA

I have no way of evaluating the quality of the repair advice in the videos and can only suggest you consult a professional gunsmith. I certainly wouldn't care to be even partially responsible for any consequent accidents resulting from faulty repair. But if you are knowledgeable about the particular item, you might consult a hobbyist group for preliminary advice. It might give you at least a clue as to how costly or difficult the repair might be.

Is the smoke white, blueish, or black? White smoke is either raw fuel from a misfire or antifreeze from a bad head gasket, cracked head, etc. Blueish smoke is engine oil being burned which is a sign of worn/cracked rings. Black smoke is too much fuel being burned, bad timing, or maladjusted valves.

IF you don't have a special meter, that costs more than the capacitor, just replace it. The meter is called an ESR meter and they are $$

I am currently obtaining information on roof paints and I can share what I have found out
roof restorers use a membrane paint rather than an ordinary acrylic paint or enamel paint as it is the most resilient paint for the application
IT is applied at a pressure of 3000 psi from a special gun and paint pump, cannot be rollered or brushed and goes on to a thickness of 150 microns ( around .120")
the cost is around $400.00 for 10 litres which covers around 10 sq meters ( 3ftx3ft)
acrylic can be sprayed or rollered or brushed on and is good for about 10-15 years depending on the roof to start with (thickness around .030" --same as car paint job)
costs around $180.00 for 15 lts and covers 14-16 sq meters
namel should be avoided as it does not have the capacity to expand or contract with temperature changes
professional roof restorers will repair any problems , clean the roof off and then apply the membrane paint as it gives a good quality result
other than that I would talk with paint suppliers as they have the same membrane paint that the professionals use and get ideas as to the way to go.

It would have been helpful if you had mentioned which breaker is tripping?

Most modern mains electrical circuits are protected by at least two breakers - an MCB and either an ELCB or RCD.
The micro circuit breaker replaces the old fashioned fuse and does the same job - if the MCB trips, the appliance is consuming too much current; perhaps indicating shorted turns in the motor...

If the RCD or ELCB trips it indicates current is leaking into the ground circuit; indicating perhaps damp or water ingress or an insulation breakdown...

so without having a meter on this my first idea is the motor starting contact relay saddle mounted contacts either have a wire loose, broken, or the contact itself has failed and not sending the feedback to the plc that the motor starter has in fact closed to start the motor, one way to trouble shoot this is to manually close the motor starter and ohm out that particular contact set to see if this shows it closed. do this with the power off as when you close this manually it will try to start the motor. ohi it before and after u manually close that starter relay.
