Do you have to heat
Hi,
It does not matter if there is food in or not...just make sure that the crock is in when the heat is on...Heating the crock up will take fifteen to twenty minutes...

Looking for a replacement lid for crock pot model
Believe or not, go to your local Goodwill Store! They have tons of crocks and the lids and the cookers separate frm each other that have been donated becase one of the pieces was broken and they donated the rest of the pieces. Lids and crocks typically range from $1.99 to $5.99 and you benefit your community at the same time.
How do you get a
This is how I get mine to go to warm manually. Press "Cook Time" until it gets to the "slow 10 hour" setting. Press "Off", then press "Cook Time" twice. This puts mine on the "Warm" setting. Found this by accident and it took me quite a while to recreate, but the "Warm" setting is very handy if your food is already done before the cook time runs out.
Crock pot overheating
my 38601 smart pot 6 qt has all of its items cooked at 3-4 hrs when I have it on low heat setting at 10hrs WHY?
