How to fix generator need full choke to run

If you have not properly shut down the unit after use you will have likely had fuel remaining in the carburetor. The fuel will have evaporated while the unit was stored leaving residue behind. This residue will plug and interfere with the fuel passages and metering orifices of the carburetor. The residue reduces the fuel flow through the carburetor. Applying the choke compensates for the reduced fuel flow returning the fuel air mixture to a burnable ratio. If the unit runs with the choke on it is likely the carburetor is dirty. Be running the engine the carburetor will possibly clean itself. Make sure you remove any old fuel from the machine and replace with fresh. Allow the unit to run for an extended length of time attempting to return the choke to the run position. If you are able to return the choke to the run position you are on the way of solving this problem. You may need to run it additional time to completely purge the residue. Additives are available to clean the carburetor and as a last resort if running with fresh fuel doesn't' return the motor to normal you may try it. For best results after mixing and running with the additives leave the unit overnight which may help to remove the remaining residue. The shelf life of gas containing ethanol is about 30 days. In the future it is best to run the unit dry leaving ot fuel in the carburetor. All else fails you will need to have the unit serviced by a small engine service center.

Does the yamaha EF1000is inverter generator 1kva

it seems to be the standard that the rating or model ??1000 or ??1500 or ??2500 or ??5000 or??5500 or ??6500 is the kv rating of the gen-set regardless of straight or inverter so if yours is EF1000 it will be 1000 watts or 1 kv remember that most electric drills are 1000 watt units so a unit this small is mostly good for lights, charging batteries, small compressors for tyres

When replacing battery I crossed the positive and negative terminals for a brief spark. Now electric start won't work with new battery. Will start by hand. What did I do?

By reversing the polarity you could have burned out the the stater motor. Or if is fused it is blown out.

Ef2600 yamaha generator will run fine for a day Go to start it the next day it won't start

If the fuel tank is below the carb, check for a check valve in the fuel line not seating. You can verify by shooting a bit of starting fluid in the breather. If it starts and then hesitates a bit and then runs, it means that the engine speed was adequate to suck fuel back up into the line to the carb.
