20 Most Recent Largan Chameleon Digital Camera Questions & Answers

You need to install the software that came with the camera. (on the CD or DVD) if you don't have it anymore, try free software like from Ulead, Pixir, BeFunkey, Gimp, Photoshop express. Or if your camera does have a memory card, buy a external card reader and use that to transfer the pictures and videos to your computer.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER

If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

You don't need any special software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Might be a problem with your cord...or maybe you are using the wrong cord to download. Make sure you have the cord you received with the camera. Plug in the cord to the computer. Restart your computer. Then (with your camera turned off) plug in the cord to the camera. Start the camera and see if it connects.

I think this is the driver you are looking for ..but I have to warn you that will only work as up to windows XP ..This model of camera do not have a driver for vista and windows 7
If into the original cd you had more software than just the driver ..you can use a photo manager instead ..The driver will assure only the communication ...between the camera and the p c..
to download pictures ..just install the driver and the pictures folder will be available in the my computer folder after restarting and connecting the camera ..

May I suggest you take your camera and card to a photo store, to see if they can access the photo's. Maybe even make copies for you.

This is probably the easiest way to ascertain whether there's a problem with your camera or card.
