Rowenta Steam Generator DG050 Iron - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How do I get the boiler on my rowenta steam generator to fill? I was given this model.
You should only use distiller water in the steamer. Never ever use tap water! This is what caused lime and scale build up.
Since it's to late, you have nothing to loose by trying this to descale the unit:
Put up to one cup of white vinegar into the reservoir. Fill 3/4 of the way with water. Turn unit on and let it heat up, but DO NOT RUN STEAM THROUGH THE LINE. Once heated up, turn unit off and let it set for hours. Drain and rinse well. Then run a water only batch through the steam cycle. There are companies that sell special de scaling solutions. But hopefully, the vinegar will work.

Are these small screws we are talking about?
You can go to a store like Staples, Best Buy, The Good Guys, etc bring the iron and check the section where they have precision screws.
Small screws can be removed by precision screw drivers. If you go there they can also give you assistance to make sure that the precision screw you will purchase will fit.

I have a hinari steam generator iron and the steam
Check the water reservoir of the steam generator and look for some hairline cracks. Also a clogged tubing will likely to go back water on reservoir inlet water pouring. Once you found the cracks, seal it with epoxy just enough to fill the cracks.

That product (several brands) is usually available at nearly all grocery stores, craft stores and any decent hardware store. They may not have a particular brand, but will have some form of it. CLR makes a good variation of it and is widely available.

I know it's a silly question but are you pressing the trigger in the handle? If you are then the solenoid valve may have failed

Steam button on iron has stopped working
this just happened to us & the electronics man at my husband's plant took it apart & said the thermostat needs replaced. the wires were all eaten up so to speak

clean with 50/50 white vinegar water let soak overnight then flush out!!!! :)
