How do I get the boiler on my rowenta steam generator to fill? I was given this model.

You should only use distiller water in the steamer. Never ever use tap water! This is what caused lime and scale build up. Since it's to late, you have nothing to loose by trying this to descale the unit: Put up to one cup of white vinegar into the reservoir. Fill 3/4 of the way with water. Turn unit on and let it heat up, but DO NOT RUN STEAM THROUGH THE LINE. Once heated up, turn unit off and let it set for hours. Drain and rinse well. Then run a water only batch through the steam cycle. There are companies that sell special de scaling solutions. But hopefully, the vinegar will work.

Issues with Rowenta Steam Iron DG 05030 steam hose

Does your iron have a self cleaning feature? It sounds to me like you have calcium build up and when you squeeze the hose it displaces the "clog" just enough to allow steam through.

Hi there,
Are these small screws we are talking about?
You can go to a store like Staples, Best Buy, The Good Guys, etc bring the iron and check the section where they have precision screws.
Small screws can be removed by precision screw drivers. If you go there they can also give you assistance to make sure that the precision screw you will purchase will fit.
Hope this helps!

I have a hinari steam generator iron and the steam

Check the water reservoir of the steam generator and look for some hairline cracks. Also a clogged tubing will likely to go back water on reservoir inlet water pouring. Once you found the cracks, seal it with epoxy just enough to fill the cracks.
Thanks for asking.

Are you using distilled water to refill your iron? Distilled water can cause drips if used all the time. Refill with tap water and see if the drips stop.
