Polar F6 Wrist Watch Questions & Answers
Polar F6 - Battery replaced, display corrupt after watch loads.
I had the same problem and attempted what banjodoug suggested above. It did not help. I had a faint display even before I re-inserted it into my watch frame. I surmised it wasn't the battery position.
I then took apart the damn thing and put it back together several times, each time rushing to push the setting/center button only to derive the same problem over and over.
I then took it apart one more time and pinched in all of the sides of the metal frame that holds it all together, thinking that I had a bad ground. After I did that, I reassembed it and waited. The display came on with the test display and then eventually went to the standard display on its own and all was good to go.
I suspect the issue was solved by correcting an improper ground and a proper initialization process - both solved by the steps I took above.
Hope it works for you!

Frozen Display
Hello,
The reset will always solve the issue. It may have been due to Electromagnetic Interference or Static Electricity.
You can press and hold ALL buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds. After that, simply reset the time/date. All saved information will be stored.
If you are still having a problem feel free to contact Polar Customer Support @ www.polarusa.com.
Hope this helps.

Polar F6. After the new
I had the same problem, the screen would be sharp when adjusting setttings after battery-replacemnet only to fade as soon as seconds after startup. In my case the solution was to dissasemble the watch, use a toothpick or whatever to remove dirt from the copperplate lines (three long lines and one short line) that connect the hardware-part of the watch to the screen (the backside of the screen has lines that correspond to that of the copperplate lines on the frontside of the hardware-part).Hope this helps, it worked out great for me!
