https://www.amazon.com/Salton-5-Cup-Rice-Cooker/dp/B00005OTXPQuoting from web link shown:"March 1, 2008 We've owned this rice cooker for about a year. No problems whatsoever. The rice on the very bottom does always turn brown and sticks to the pot but we just don't use the small part that sticks (and the instructions say this will happen). Can cook any amount of rice and it always comes out perfect. It does come out sticky but that's how I like it. One can always rinse the starch out of the rice more to make it less sticky. You don't have to watch the pot or anything. Pour 2 parts rice to 3 parts water, flip on the cook, and it automatically turns to warm when it's done. About 20 minutes. Cheap, efficient. No problems with mine. It does what it's called: cooks rice."
My Breadmen Plus has lost
Most household appliances cost more to repair than replace. I suggest purchase a new one.
In the interim you can use this recipe to make fresh bread.
Add 1 pkg yeast to a cup of warm water with teaspoon of sugar. Let foam 15 minutes. Then add 3 cups bread flour and form a dough. Sprinkle the dough with half teaspoon of salt. "Knead" the salt in.
Place in loaf pan. Let rise until doubled, bake at 300 until done, about 50 minutes.
