Replacing the foot pedal
there is two C clips on the pin that must be removed first. then the pin will come out. if you need a picture of this or have any other trouble feel free to let me know. I also stock those foot pedals if you need one.
Motor quits
Does it come back on right away or do you have to wait a while. It could be faulty thermal sensor because it should not overheat in 30 seconds. Probably will need to replace motor if so.
Replace vacumm belt
Well Marlene, I have belts for the twin energy Sharp uprights, and if you get me an address, I can mail them to you. As for the installation instructions, those would best be posted after you receive the belts and are ready to install. You can call the shop # 269-279-6077, 8 AM - 5:00 PM Mon-Thurs. Fridays after 1:00 PM.

No suction-all lines and filter
If the motor runs, check the following:
Remove the beater brush and clean as best you can. At either end of the brush is a plastic holder that positions the brush in the vacuum body. Add some WD40 to the space between the plastic and the beater brush and turn by hand to be sure they move freely.
As long as you have the beater brush out of the vacuum, replace the drive belt.
If you find this solution to be helpful, I would appreciate a Thumbs UP rating from you.
Thank you.

NEED TO CHANGE A BELT
First you need to remove the metal cover to expose the brush roll assembly.
Push up the plastic cover connected to the foot pedal to expose the motor shaft.
Remove the brush roll assembly and simply hook the belt on the motor shaft first then pull back the brush roll and push the brush roll back to the slot. There's a small piece of plastic on the left hand side of the brush roll. This piece would go in after the brush is set in the slot. Finally, replace the metal cover.
