I am unable to get brightness option in laptop, i tried so many things.plz help

Common complaint with this unit. First you should try installing the HP Software Framework and HP Hotkey Support. After installing this two pieces of software reboot your computer and see if the issue is resolved. If this doesn't resolve the issue you should install and run HP Support Assistant. This will scan your computer and attempt to locate and install any other missing software for your notebook.

Go to the system tray in the lower right bottom of your screen and click on the "plug and battery" icon. Left click on it and you will see a link to "Adjust Brightness" towards the bottom of the menu. AND ALSO Go to control panel. choose display. Click on "adjust brightness". You find " Select a power plan". You can increase brightness at the bottom of the screen. it's work for me.

Shuting down very slow

To check for performance issues

  1. Open Performance Information and Tools by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, and then, in the list of results, click Performance Information and Tools.
  2. In the left pane, click Advanced tools.
  3. In Advanced Tools, under Performance issues, click any issues that are listed.
  4. Read the information in the dialog box that appears to learn which programs or drivers are causing problems.
If a program or driver prevents your computer from turning off quickly You can try the following tasks to fix the problem:
  • Close the program before shutting down. It's possible that the problem occurs only if the program is running. Try closing the program before shutting down Windows, and then see if your computer turns off properly.
  • Check with the manufacturer of the program or driver for an update. A newer version of the program might include a resolution to the problem.
If these options don't solve the problem, then the program or driver might be incompatible with Windows. If you installed the program or device yourself and you no longer use it, consider removing the device, or uninstalling the program or driver.

Got to HP.com and enter your model number. Your laptop specs are listed there. If you don't have it, no problem! Some laptops do not have Bluetooth. No worries you can buy a small USB Bluetooth stick, Google "USB Bluetooth"
