For Sportline 915 all you have to do to turn on the heart rate feature is to press the reset button on the lowe right and put your finger on the meatl part. A heart will appear on the top right of the screen indicating that the feature is on.

I cant figure out how to change the setting for

The large A stands for age...when hit mode and that screen appears, hold the mode button until you see the number start flashing...Then use the buttons on the right to toggle to your age..then you can hit the mode button again to switch from the number to the F and you can change that to an M for a male...

The purpose of this is to let the watch know your gender and age in order to properly calculate your heart rate percentage..

Sportline watch frozen

Electronic Tech for Government & the last thing you want to do is try to fix it yourself. The watch is a dual unit with the power supply (battery) encased by plastic & a steel unit case wrapping itself around that. To complicate things there are two circuits connecting pad (sensing unit) built THRU the power unit (as springs). There is a rubber piece that makes the circuit for pulse mode from the case to the watch & that is tricky to place for sensing unit to work (the whole purpose of having this sport watch). Replaced mine for $4 but it was a surprise to find it THAT complicated.

Sportline watch

Love my watch, Was placing it on wrist, time correct, pressed button to test pulse and everything went blank. Pressed reset button, with no effect. It has a high pitched whine when placed at ear.
Does this mean I need a new battery, and where is that done, so I don't mess it up.
Appreciate any help as I don't have the instruction book either,
Scotty
