Sounds like motor is burning out or has burned out. How old is it and do you use it for heavy things. They won't last if it is a cheaper model. I had a cheaper one and got very little time out of it. I bought a lot more expensive one and it has lasted several years.

Hi Paul i have the manual to this blender i can help you over the phone if you want to turn it on. I have this manul is my mum passed this onto to me without the spindle part of the food processor. If you find that your item doesn't not work at all after trying it with the manual will you sell me the spindle part?

try ticking with a long screw driver. Metal tends to stuck but when knocked easily with another piece of metal it tend to loose.

The normal procedure would be to take the appliance to a local Authorised Service Agent and get them to assess the problem. They will then obtain the parts for you if it is deemed to be a manufacturer fault.

that is timer/capacitor... if under warranty - get it replaced, otherwise - you are ready for new one... as you did not give type and model, i cannot even "questimate" if it is worth repairing or throw it directly to the rubbish bin, do not collect $200.00 just pay them... general rule is that below $50.00 do not bother repair... hope this short info will help you - do not forget to vote...
