This works! Loosen the bezel all the way. Pressing the bottom button, press one time the topmbottom and see how the chrononhand corrects by one second towards zero. Do it again and have it reset. Tighten the bezel. Thats it

Try setting the crown to position 2 - i.e. the position normally used to adjust the date.  Then use the top and bottom stopwatch buttons to adjust the minute hand and 1/10th hand respectively.

You need to go to a watchmaker. Sorry, I am good but not good enough to diagnose the damage without seeing the watch. In any case you can't fix yourself unless you are a watchmaker.

It should reset with the first button, did it used to do this fun and recently just stopped functioning? Do all other functions on the watch work fine?

The pushers sound like they have fallen off.This is quite a common problem.Take care as the watch wont be waterproof.The parts will need to be obtained from TAG and fitted by a watchmaker.Return the watch to an agent for them to attend to or find a watchmaker that can get TAG parts.

Pull out winder 1 step and us the push buttons to adjust hands to 12 o.clock . when you have done this pull winder right out and use push buttons to set other hands then push winder back in.

It definitely is worth to fix. But I suspect that all you need is just a battery replacement. Don't forget, that before you purchased your watch, it was laying on dealers shelf for no one knows how long. Battery originally is fitted at Tag Heuer's workshop in Switzerland, and nobody was replacing battery when you bought the watch, so, it may have been in the watch for a year or even more before watch was sold to you.

I have CL1180 and had the same problem, pulling the winder out to position 2 (fully out) and using the buttons resets the second and 10th second hands and putting the winder in position1 and using the buttons does the same for the minute and hour hands. However finding position1 was tricky, only seems to work on the way out from fully home and not on the way back from pos 2.

most likely the impact did loosen it. I suggest you take it to get it opened and adjusted before the teak causes internal problems.

Unscrew the crown, start the stop watch on the time signal. Stop the second hand at 12 o'clock and reset the time (taking out the back lash on the minute hand) Start the watch as the stop watch second hand hits 12. Screw down the crown. Done.

You probably have a screw down crown. Turn the crown counterclockwise and unscrew the crown. Now you should be able to pull it out. When tightening it back down, don't over tighten, just snug. This is to keep moisture out of your watch. Always have it screwed down unless you are setting the watch.

You have selected a wonderful watch... Heuer and TAG/Heuer should be gently wound by the motion of the human wrist and the falling of a centrally pivoting weight (there is no ideal direction). AUTO-WIND function is NOT at all unique to your watch... After a couple of CHEAPER "winders" failed me... and after I figured about 4 watches was more than enough to keep wound... I found the greatest BASIC watch winder... to run year over year (efficiently and quietly) MTE watch winder (their very basic WTS-4).
