How to upload pictures from olympis digital camera to an acer lap top computer

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa. Organize edit and share your photos

Hi lightblue,

It sad to know that you have lost your installation disc, i hope you find it.

As of now you can download the drivers from this link :- http://bit.ly/lsfsPN

Please remember to save your driver files , in a separate folder , if possible a removable storage drive so that you can use them in the future.

Hope this helps ..:) Your feed back would be appreciated.

How can i upload photos

Commonly there are two ways to transfer pictures from camera to PC, the first is using the USB provide it with the camera or the second is removing SD memory from the camera and insert it to a SD reader/writer connected to your PC.
If you want to use USB connection, the camera driver must be installed first or according to its user manual instructions, if you don't have installation CD, please check the manufacturer web site:

The display shows a padlock

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
If that doesn't work, try another card.

Have not got laptop with windows 7 and cannot

You do not need Windows 7 - any functioning windows PC or Mac that can accept a USB cable should be able to see your camera's memory folders. Put the camera on and 1- On a PC they appear at Start/My computer/ and in a folder somewhere within E: or D: click on folders within folders to find and copy your photo folder manually. and paste it on your computer hard drive.
2.
On a Mac it appears on the desktop.

Try to download and use picasa to import photos.

Switches off when in record mode

Hi Patrick,

That happens to mine when the batteries are getting low. More so when the flash is on auto.

Try disengaging the flash and see what happens. If it works, replace the batteries.

Best regards,
Mike

Photo transfer from memory card to acer one laptop

hey! u r stuck to such a simple problem. well not to worry when i'm here.
first of all u check whether ur card is locked??? Check the sides of the card and u will find a small slider, slide it down and then insert into ur card reader.
then open My computer, there u will find written removable drive beside the cd drive or so. open it and u will find ur photos. then single right click on any of the photo, a pop-up menu will appear, select to 'copy' option and then open the drive where u want to paste ur photo, and there again single right click and select 'paste'. and guess what ??? it's done!
hey dude, never forget to rate me!!!!

Transferring pics to computer

Check the 'My Computer' for an unfamiliar drive; if as most PCs, you have a C:, D:, E: listed, these are the basics; C: & D: are the hard drive (partitioned), E: is whatever optical drive you have. You may have others such as several named drives for a digital card drive may be present too. Depending on how your camera's memory is recognized, you should have a drive you didn't before. Open the last named drive to see what (if anything) it shows for folders and files. If it brings up an error message about having nothing to read, work your way forward in the alphabet and check each. Customarily, Win will add any new drives at the end of the series of named drives.
If you find folders on a drive later in the alphabet, open them to look at the content. If you find a bunch of .jpg files, you are there.
If you find nothing, you may have to download an additional driver since the Praktica is not a real common camera, Vista may not have provided a default driver for it.

Camera memory? to memory card

I was also unable to find a source for the manual but for Snapper Sal:

If you can establish communication with your computer, it will handle the internal camera memory as a disk drive from which you can copy your stored photos to duplicate (or move) them to a folder on your local hard drive.
Once there, you can insert your new memory card either into the camera or a memory card drive and again copy them from your computer hard drive onto the new card.

Dunno why you are doing this but it shouldn't be too difficult if you just treat the internal and add-on memory card as simply another drive.
