Hi christine75466 when you go to the profiles hit the black blackberry key and not the ball. The ball goes back to your main menu. Hit the blackberry key and the it should give you a list of options scroll down to the sms on the menu and then hit the ball it should give you an expended version for the alerts. If your still having issues with this you can go on blackberry site and see step by step on how to do this process. On the menu screen, you go to the speaker icon (Profiles) and click on it. From there you will click on Advanced. It should have your current ring selection highlighted already. You will then click the menu button click on Show Ringtones and choose the ring tone you want to use. Hope this helps!

Please check to see if you have water damage. Usually under the battery and on the battery there is a water mark generally white if it does not have water. If it is red then its water damage.

i cannot make bluetooth enable

first you need to determine if the problem is the battery, chipset, or a software malfunction

battery- see if its loose and is just moving around loosing good conection if so jsut try to put sum small in the back to keep it steady like some folded paper or come cardmoard. sum along those lines.

chipset- if its your chipset then your gona have to take it into your company and have them send it to the repair company

software- try to find an old restore point and set it back (refering to the java error) if you cant seem to find one then use your desktop software to do a system reboot.

someone should help :) because i just had the same issue! (starting yesterday). i went to the tmobile store and had them look at my phone. they tried my battery in someone else's phone and it worked, so it isn't the battery. the red light doesn't come on when it's supposed to be "charging" -- which it's not doing that either. but all the people at tmobile told me was that it's the actual phone.. yet they didn't tell me how to solve the issue or if i could get a new one or what.. all they said was that i was eligible for a 2 year upgrade.

Usually this problem is caused by faulty hardware..

and can only be repaired / replaced by blackberry or your service provider..

You need to unlock the phone, so that other sims can be used.

Hi this is a very common problem and usually happens if you have changed you phone to another network.

all you need to do is call your service provider and tell them what make and model of phone you have got then ask them to send you the latest mms and wap settings, they wont charge for sending these to you and they will send them via text message.
this will then update your phone to the latest media message settings and internet settings, once this is done you will be able to send and receive what ever you like.

you can sometimes send the settings to your phone yourself from your service providers web site but not all service providers offer this service so you would need to check, the easiest way would be to give them a call and ask them to send you the latest settings.

To delete all the data, go into Options / Security Options / General Settings, clik the wheel and then click Wipe Handheld.
