Want to upgrade from vista to windows 10

The Microsoft website will give details of how to upgrade and the costs involved, though buying the new operating system on hardware and performing a drive format and a clean new load could make more sense. A computer that previously ran Vista will probably be a few years old and therefore have a low specification so you could be disappointed with the performance when running Windows 10. I have a very old pc originally running Windows 95 that copes well with XP without perceptible loss of functionality for modest purposes, which makes no sense at all. On the other hand a relatively high-spec laptop I own needs a fair amount of patience running Windows 7. You have to try these things but the results aren't assured and it is a bit like making a wager with your cash. Might be more economic to buy an up to date machine.

How do i fix the distorted, halogram-like video pictures on my computer?

First of all, how old is your display? Second, how did that happen in the first place? Finally, was your display recalled because of inherent video artifacts like the one you're describing? You should check with your OEM before making any queries on sites like this.

How do i send photo files that are on my laptop without losing the pictures

Hi Irene - There are many ways to send photos and so I am assuming you are sending them by email. If this is not correct, please provide more info. Within your email program send a new message. In the new message, click on Attach File or Insert Picture. Which ever you choose, it will open a box that will allow you to locate your photo files on your laptop. Select the ones you want and they will be added to the email. They will also remain intact on your laptop. Hope this helps. Thanks.

How do you remove the keyboard on a Sony Vaio laptop PCG-7192L

Let's see if this helps Tom,1) http://laptoppartstore.weebly.com/replace--remove-sony-vaio-vgn-nw-keyboard.html2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BEcX_0KYIEThe Keyboard Cable STAYS attached to the Keyboard. It disconnects FROM the motherboard's connector. The Keyboard Cable has NO connector on the end. It is a FFC.Flat Flex Cable. One example of a Flat Flex Cable,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flat-Flex-Cable.jpgThe flat metal terminal bars MUST be aligned back in the SAME position, as they were originally. For this reason you may wish to take a Sharpee marker, and make a mark on one side of the cable. Then make a matching mark on the same side of the motherboard connector, BEFORE you remove the cable. The motherboard connector is a type of ZIF connector.Zero Insertion Force. It is composed of two pieces, but does NOT come completely apart! The bottom part is larger, rectangular shaped, and is stationary to the motherboard. It is the BODY.The upper part is smaller, rectangular shaped, and is movable. It is the Locking Bar.ACCORDING to the video the Locking Bar is the Slide/Wedge type.DO NOT use a metal tool as shown. One slip, and you can damage the motherboard! Geez!Use your Fingernails, or Thumbnails. The Locking Bar slides up. Up towards the LCD screen, or away from the Body.It ONLY moves about 2mm. That is a little larger than 1/16th of an Inch.IF, the Locking Bar is broken, or the Body, you are looking at -> MOTHERBOARD REPLACEMENT!!Hence why I am being so detailed.More detail on unlocking this type of motherboard ZIF connector,A) Locked position;http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-C650-C655/body-big/disassemble-toshiba-c655-11.jpgB) Unlocked position;http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-C650-C655/body-big/disassemble-toshiba-c655-12.jpgThere is another style of Locking Bar used, however. The Locking Bar flips up to a 90 degree position, or also can be stated as Straight Up.Just to make sure I'm going to include info for it too;A) Locked positionhttp://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-L645D-L640D/big/laptop-disassembly-13.jpgB) Unlocked position;http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-L645D-L640D/big/laptop-disassembly-14.jpgFor additional questions please post in a Comment.Regards, joecoolvette

Passsword of BIOS

I believe if you're up for opening your computer up, you can remove the CMOS battery. Then if you either wait 10 minutes or so, or short out the battery terminals, you should be able to clear the BIOS completely. Hopefully that will reset it to factory defaults and clear the password.Let us know how you get on.Cheers,Derek.
