A less frequent situation that can happen in a laptop resulting in it not booting up is a damaged USB port. If the pins are touching the system will not start up. You can fix this problem by using a small flat blade screw driver, tweezers or micro needle nose pliers to carefully separate and reform the contacts so they do not touch.
This is not a permanent fix because the USB port will become unusable. To fully fix it would require you to replace the system board, which may or may not be covered under your warrenty.

Hello. It appears that you have a problem with your motherboard or the BIOS on your motherboard. When you get the Lenovo logo, there should be a few F# options. Find the one that says "Enter Setup" or something along those lines. You want to try and access the BIOS and see if your motherboard is still working, or if it needs to be replaced. If that does not work, turn off your computer, and unscrew the cover over the RAM. Take out the RAM and reseat it. If that does not fix your problem, I think your motherboard is fried.

Thanks for using FixYa!

The printscreen button should be the button directly to the right of the power button labelled "PrtSc"

Take out the battery, memory, hard drive, and DVD drive. See:

for instructions.

With those items removed, connect the system to power and see if anything changes. If there is still no sound and no lights, the system needs to go in for service.

If you get some beeps, try adding one stick of memory back in. If there's no change, try the other stick (if you have one).

If the situation improves, start adding devices back one at a time.

Water and laptops don't mix.l That's a shame. And, many extended warranty agreements will not cover such an accident.

call THINKLINE: 1800-4267378
for tech support

it seems that it is an issue with the HDD failure and Mother Board.

hope it helps.

If I were you just call THINKLINE: 1800-4267378 in Atlanta GA

if the computer has A LenovoCare Notebook Protection - keyboard replacement and other parts if damaged accidentaly would be free.

however if out of warranty they will tell you on how much will it cost you - but it is cheaper to send to depot with Lenovo than a local tech service.

Only way is to find another keyboard that is broke and take the key off of that and put it on yours. Otherwise you have to buy another keyboard.

Actually this Ebay seller sells keys for IBM keyboards so you wouldn't have to buy the whole keyboard:

Or you can buy a whole new keyboard here:

You have at least a couple of options.

goto control panel > device manager > sound and audio devices and check for the device status.... if its not working properly the you need to reinstall the driver, this will fix the issue.... or please make sure that did you removed any windows components from add/remove programs.... if so, then do that again and enable all windows components, in that case it may ask you to insert the windows cd/dvd in the cd/dvd drive.....
