It sounds like you have a persistent virus, turn off your restore feature, run a full scan with a decent anti-virus software and anti-spy-ware and do this in safe mode. Then do a complete re-install of your system, if you have another hard drive handy I would opt to do that first that way it will prove there are no other issues with your laptop.

This seems like a hardware problem and since the laptop is just one day old you are entitled to get a complete exchange for the laptop.You need to carry the laptop to nearest HP service center who will certify that the system was dead On Arrival (DOA) and once it is been certified from the hp service center as DOA you can take the system to the store from where you purchased this laptop and get it exchanged.

this sounds like the inverter in the screen. I would start by subbing the lcd screen. Then try and external monitor. video problems are difficult. don't get frustrated

HI there i hope you have a driver disk. 1st install the driver disk then one massage popup on your screen for connecting the device. That moment you connect your exr\ternal audio device and its automatically start installing again. After a minutes a massage came on the screen that installation is finish. Then restart your PC and use it. Thanks.

open skype go to tools from the drop down list select options scroll to video settings make sure the microphone is using the same as your computers audio you can make a free test call if you cant get the microphone to work you can select learn about setting up your audio equipment or control panel sounds and audio devices audio and also voice it's the same make sure that you have the right default microphone selected

Whenyou connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED light up? If notthen - The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's powersocket could be faulty. Check power adapter's DCplug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltageshould be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on thebottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that isprinted on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK thenconnect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/batterycharging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's powersocket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position thisLED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a drysolder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. Better give hp support a call,be ready with the information needed and either they will give you a step-by-step procedure on how to get back to your cpu.Reason is they would want to know what happened and I'm sure they will get it working for you again.Try www.hp.com-go to support tab and they will give you the tech support number for you to call.

If the operating system, antivirus etc. are working fine, check out the graphic drivers. Uninstalling/ Reinstalling or updating drivers may help.

First and the most important step is to BACKUP YOUR DATA IMMEDIATELY...

In case of any failing hardware, i think it could be the graphic processor and overheating of the system due to clogging and dust in the fan and heat sink etc. as the PC is 3 years old. It would be better to get it checked and serviced by a professional at the earliest, before it sustains any further damage to graphics processor, which leads to replacement of motherboard.

Sounds like you are having a battery problem. Go to HP.com and put your model number in. HP is having a battery recall for thousands of their computers. You may be able to have HP send you a new battery for free.

you can restore your Windows to last good working copy ... go to control panel , system maintanance, backup and restore centre

this should do the trick

press and hold the Power button for 60 secs without the battery and power cable and then reconnect to it back and try to restart and if nb turns on then log on to www.hp.com and download the latest bios and install it as Administrator.

Time to contact to the HP tech support for either Battery Replacement or for Notebook Bench for the Notebook repair...
