Ho do i connect external monitor to my mt 3422

Most laptops have a 15pin video connector to allow an external monitor to be attached to the laptop. Power up the external monitor first and then boot up the laptop, the video information will automatically switch to the external mpnitor.

I forgot my bios password

Sadly there is little you can do to get rid of the Bios password. I'm replying to this, knowing that you won't like to be told this and in all probability leave me an "unhelpful" award. However, and after trying about every approach I could a few years ago to get past the Bios password, eventually gave up. I'd rather save you the hassle I went through.

There are a number of people who will offer (at a price) to remove this for you. I seriously doubt they can do it. The only real solution, is to have the bios chip replaced by a professional, or replace the motherboard. Note that often, even if you get past the bios pass, the hard drive may be locked in a similar fashion, this cannot be removed, and the hard drive will not reformat even if done externally.

If you want to have a go, and you know WHICH bios is on the laptop, you can try the software on this site (which is what most of the so called "bios hackers" who will charge you money for this, get their codes from).

My best friend'a laptop has a malware program

These are very hard to get rid of...
You may end up having to restore
f you have the malware bytes still installed on the computer, try to run it in safe mode, this may work. While in safe mode go into your task manager and end the process for the security tool. I have just wrote a tip on this that may also be of some help to you here is the link

If you are unable to fix this, please email me and I will assist you in any way that I can. This can be a very time consuming and frustrating removal. Good Luck!

It boots up but the screen doesnt come on what is

hi

To help resolve this issue, use the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to determine which file is causing the issue, and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
  2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.
Hope this helps you. Let us know either way. Make it a great day!

Is my laptop overheating? It

Hello Kenny,

You laptop likely is not overheating per se, but it appears that the cable located between the video card part of the motherboard and the monitor may not be secured as it should. Vibration, and perhaps temperature, can cause this cable to shift ever so slightly causing symptoms that you describe.

If taken to a repair shop, the charge should be nominal for them to disassemble the laptop to the point where they can access and secure the cable. At worst, the cable may need to be replaced due to wear.

The easiest way to confirm that it is a cable or not is to try and plug in a monitor to the back of your laptop. If the problem appears on the panel, and not the external monitor, then you are almost certainly looking at a cable issue. If the problem appears on both monitors, then it is a different issue, perhaps overheating like you suggested.
