1997 Jaguar XK8 "check oil" Questions

CHECK OIL LEVEL FIRST.IF LOOKS OKAY HAVE OIL PRESSURE CHECKED IF OIL PRESSURE GOOD.YOUR OIL FILTER AND OIL HAS BEEN CHANGED AND OIL NOT TOO HEAVY OR THICK AND YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT OIL VISCOSITY.YOU

Occaisionally engine cuts out at about 70 on the motorway computer states "check engine oil " The oil level is ok Just because the level is OK doesn't mean the oil pump is still good.

I had the tensioner change on my 2000 XJ8. Now I hear a rattling noise and "Low Oil Pressure" light at idle. The car has 60K miles on it. Stop driving the car and check the oil level right away.
