2002 Volvo S60 "trunk lid wont latch" Questions

trunk lid wont close am having problem closing my trunk lid, the latch do not work anymore. what can i do TRY PUTTING THE KEY IN AND TURNING IT AS IF YOU WERE OPENING THEN PULL OUT KEY AND TRY CLOSING

CORRECT POSITION SLOWLY CLOSE TRUNK LID UNTIL THE TRUNK LID LATCH AND LATCH STRIKER COME IN CONTACT TO CLOSE TRUNK.ONCE BOTH ADJUSTMENTS CORRECT. TIGHTEN THE LATCH STRIKER BOLTS TRUNK SHOULD NOW CLOSE
