1984 Ford Mustang "ignition truck turn" Questions

turn the key ignition in the off position the car does not turn off. I have replaced the ignition lock but that did not solve the problem. I am now going to try replacing the ignition switch. Any clue

ignition to turn on? You have to use a pin or paper lip to insert in hole in igmition switch to release the lock cylinder. The key has to be in "on" position I think. Removal Disconnect battery ground
