Canon PowerShot A570 IS Digital Camera "blank lcd screen" Questions

Blank LCD screen on shooting mode, but does show settings. Will not take pictures. Replaying mode works, shows pictures taken before screen went blank. New batteries. What is going on??? Is it fixable
