CF card compartment. If there are bent pins, those will need to be fixed by a camera shop. You may also need to replace the cards if any of their contact holes are bent closed because of the bent pins

CF slot but after finally taking it to a repair shop, the tech showed me a bent pin. It really wasn't that apparent first time around. He told me its a common problem as long as they use the CF cards.

..."there are no pictures currently available". Can anyone help? You could have a bent pin on your CF card holder.... You could have a bad compression board bad . Be sure to check your cf card also

CF card slot. It's very likely that you may have a bent pin in there. If so, remove batteries and card. Use a small/skinny jeweler's flat screwdriver to bend the pin back as close as possible.
