Denon PMD750 Grayscale Remote Control "getting toshiba change input" Questions

getting toshiba ct-852 to program I have a toshiba Tv with a ct-852 remote. I have changed the batteries and the tv manual says the remote needs programed again but I do not see anywhere in the manual

change the input mode from DVD / TV / AM/FM , etc ... I pulled out the batteries for a few minutes thinking I may have messed up the settings somehow , or pushed a button that messed it up by accident
