Hotpoint RFA60 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator "fridge green light" Questions

green light on the fridge. My freezer has defrosted and the red light is still on but the green light is still on the fridge but it isnt cold inside. any ideas please turn it off for 24hr then turn on
