LG GCE 8520B CD-RW Burner "cdrom" Questions

CD ROM not Detected My CDROM GCR-8525B cannot detect on both IDE sockets.I think this problem is due to installing wrong FRIMWARE. What could i do to solve this problem.My OS is WinXP. Plz help me????
