My Philips DVDR5500 5 player is stuck in "init". I've read the manual and tried re-setting but it won't get past "IIT" on the display. Could be that it has lost the ability to read the disk in machine

reads "HO 7". i no longer have my manual and have no idea what the error message means. i took the top off and the device that picks up and spins the dvd's seems to be a bit loose. check out this link
