JVC XV-N410 DVD Player "subtitles cut" Questions

Subtitles cut off Please help! My DVD Player seems to cut off the 2nd line of the English subtitles. I have changed the monitor type to try it on all 4 types (16:9 normal; 16:9 auto; 4:3 LB and 4:3 PS

Why is it that when I try watching DVD in my laptop, the subtitles are always cut? You may need to increase resolution on the laptop, it may fix the problem.
