Thanks for the info, however, the 1473 Series Diagram Parts List is 3d so to speak and can't determine from it. I think the outer post with the 'ears' on it attaches to the upper canvas rails and the spacer goes in the bottom of that but there are no screw holes in the upper walls. Thanks for the info, however, the 1473 Series Diagram Parts List is 3d so to speak and can't determine from it. If you lift the foot of the bed, you will have storage. Look for a hole on the near edge of the foot to lift the secondary floor panel. In here you will have access to the motor, wires and guide rails for the slide. Depending on what you need in this area (troubleshooting), keep in mind you should have 12VDC unless the battery disconnect is off/open.

They vary by manufacturer. However, the basic design is a primary cable the goes from the winch through a track to the rear of the unit. The cable has a plug and a push plate in the middle and another at the end. It goes through a pully back into a track toward the front of the unit. The track is a metal, rectangular piece that runs from front to back down the center of the trailer. From the front and rear of the track there will be a total of four pipes, two from the front and two from the rear. The pipe will curve, one toward each corner and will again curve up into each corner of the unit. Inside each pipe is a heavy metal spring that when properly pushed by the main cable will push the roof up. The other system is the older system that has more cables to lift the roof instead of the push springs.
Manual or electric. If electric press the switch located inside the unit. If manual, you will need to go to each arm and press the release clips to unlock the arms (usually black but may be a lift up lock). Next tank the long rod with a loop on one end and a 90 deg hook on the other. Toward the front of the coach at the top of the awning you will see a small lever on the awning. Use the loop end of the rod to pull the lever down. Take the other end of the rod and insert it into the black strap that should be barely hanging down and pull down as you back away. This should pull the awning out. Once pulled out all the way, go to each end of the awning. Close to the wall of the RV there should be an arm hanging down with a knob on the back of it. Grab the bottom of the arm and slide it out and clip it into the end of the extended awning arm. Push down on the lower arm to tighten the fabric and then tighten the knob. Once both ends have been tightened then on the lower arm there will be a pull out handle in the middle, pull it out to release the lock pin and lift the outer portion of the lower arm up to raise the awning to the desired height. Repeat for the other end. If it is raining or windy put the awning away. DO NOT LEAVE IT OUT! The wind will catch it like a kite and rip it off of your trailer. Rain will fill it up like a swimming pool and collapse the center tube and trap you inside of the RV.
Depends on the construction of the floor. If it is the composite floor that is a layer of luan, Styrofoam and luan. Then the entire floor will need to be replaced. Heavy moisture will cause the glue to release and the floor will fail. The walls may also cause an issue if the water permeated them causing the insulation to get wet. Mold will begin to grow and could cause heath problems down the road.
